I love details. Details cost money and so details aren't always on the menu. :) But at this restaurant we specialize in details. Anna and I made these curtains some time ago, and I meant to blog them but am just getting to it now... forgive me, it's the human thing to do....
These curtains were a spectacular foil, almost chrome. The backside of the curtains holds a nice little secret, a patterned lining. Look at the silk fillets at the front edge... yes everything is sewn by hand. I refer to these little details as the lingerie, only people you really want to know about them get to see all that goodness... and most importantly you know it's there.

What a fabulous picture Ravi!
ReplyDeleteI love it..... the combination of fabrics is really querky but works....
Great job!
Great curtain, I'd love to rip them down and make it into clothes like in sound of music.
ReplyDeletePS: love the bobbins in your header, just started rockin the bobbin cases in mine.
Shawn, please don't turn my curtains into clothes, I'll give you some fabric, please stay away from the curtains with your scissors...
ReplyDeleteYour illustrations are amazing, truly. Thank you for sharing your gift (your blogs)
