Enter the Future...

Stacey, Anna and I were busy for the past week preparing our showroom for a tour of sorts. Every year, and sometimes more than once a year, our good friend and tireless supporter whom we love so dearly, Patricia Kramer, brings her Interior Design class through our doors. Patricia has been in the window coverings industry in one form or another since the New Testament was first printed and has revealed to me her grand plan to take over the world one window at a time, diabolical no?

Our tour consisted of a little intro into our work, a discussion on interior design and the application of softness with a short demo into our newest textured lighting shrouds.
I secretly love these tours, secret it remains as there are less than four readers of my blog, none influential, you know who you are.... The opportunity to engage my peers and introduce my work to them is most exciting. Most people fear/ loathe curtains, I have a feeling anyone coming through our doors leaves with renewed appreciation of not only curtains but the sense that there is an importance in preserving and maintaining the skills that go into execution of handmade soft furnishings, as there are with any trade. Thank you Patricia for  endorsing us tirelessly, and also for opening the minds of your students to possibilities that may shape their careers and in turn their lives. You are such an inspiration.
