That's just this month... what's next?
I wonder sometimes if we all suffer from a lack of basic intelligence. It is easy to blame one another for our problems but we are all in it.. we are all human and we are all responsible for this. I wonder if we see that. What is my own responsibility towards this? As a supremely intelligent being am I not able to peacefully architect anything other than my own demise? Am I not naturally imbued with the ability to see hate and affect it with love? Am I not able to see the desperation and the anger in me which contributes in some way to this world? Can I end that conflict in me first so others around me might change too and by extension the whole world as well... And as supremely intelligent beings can we not do this altogether individually and therefore collectively? Do I want my children to be divisive as I am or do I want them to own the ability to critically think about the world as their gift and live lives which open into beauty and peace and love? How could we have designed a system which excludes those which need the most, rewards others that lie the most, honour those that die in the name of killing others while simultaneously failing to see the other as the same as we? Have we actually become more intelligent through all this or do we just have fancier gadgets?
This I ponder this while I sew....
