Welcome to our New Website!

I am so very proud to announce the new version of our website is now up and running. I would like to send a huge thanks out to Jonathan Hawkes from Butter Creative for his buttery smooth webwork and having to deal with all my idiosyncratic notions.... thank you for your patience. A reverberating shout out to Vancouver based artist James Nizam whose amazing work designing  our website and visual identity continues to inspire us daily.
And of course to our clients and supporters without whom none of our work would even be possible.
Ravi Design started as a pillow and slipcover company in 2000. I started making slipcovers because they were like making clothes. I had spent the entire previous decade learning about fashion, pattern making and tailoring and slipcovers came easy to me. It wasn't until 2005 that we began creating window coverings, we literally sewed our very first curtain in October of 2005. Since that pivotal moment we have focussed our  entire attention on creating the most amazing, the most beautiful, the most remarkable drapery available anywhere in the world, constantly challenging ourselves, always innovating.
Sometimes it is very hard for me to imagine that we have only been making curtains for 6 years. It seems like such little time but yet we have achieved so much in that short period. In that time I have gone from knowing nothing about curtains, to lecturing internationally, redesigning and rethinking the usage of curtains in the home and becoming a leading expert in the field. I feel that we are moving into a period of change in our business. We are focussing our attentions towards publishing books, creating a line of ready made soft furnishings, increasing our presence and again elevating the quality and innovative nature of our work. We are creating incredible new partnerships both locally and around the globe which we hope to share with you soon.
I am so very proud of Stacey and Anna without whom none of what you see would be possible. It is an amazing thing when you can work so closely with people you have known and shared so much for so long.
Please stop by and say hi, we love to see you.

Ravi!
