Fabric is inspiration. Currently Anna and I are making a remarkable set of curtains in an amazing silk fabric which is absolutely delicious...
Anna is cutting off the selvedge, less than an 1/8th of an inch is trimmed off to release the tightness that is customary on the edges of silk textiles. This allows the curtains to hang straight.
A detail of the hemming. All construction on these curtains is done by hand, there is no detail that is too small or goes unnnoticed... Its really important when using such exquisite textiles that the fabrication matches the quality of the cloth....
