The blue and white is covered in a combination of ghost coloured heavy nubuck suede and an exquisite wool alpaca blend in blue. Its tactile almost powdery surface contrasts beautifully with the soft roughness of the wool. Oh it's so yummy. Designed to co-ordinate with the ultra luxe Japanese inspired Larsen rug. the Schluff sits overlooking the manicured garden beyond the windows, giving the relaxer a perfect view outside. Record nap on the Lounger... 6 hours, unscheduled.
Islero above, is the most remarkable hand assembled piece of furniture we have ever made. Built from 3/8" thick Spanish Bullhide, this behemoth is almost the size of a double bed but twice as comfortable. It isn't enough ever to just make furniture, it has to be special, unique and extremely useful, or we would just be wasting our time.
Below we have a grey version. Cut from a Grey distressed Cowhide, so incredibly soft yet slick like a fine handbag leather, wrapped over a rare grey Japanese Heavy 14oz slub denim. Denimologists would KILL to have this in their collections... too bad SO sad! :)
I designed these to look like a piece of leather was draped over top of the lounger giving a very natural almost freeform appearance, yet there is nothing freeform about them. Careful planning, and expert execution are what make these work so well. Being leather they will wear in and distress as used creating an unbeatable patina and character unique to the user.
These pieces are not for the faint of heart, not for those who can't appreciate the fine art of relaxation for one ...or even better... for two
