Massive Curtain Walls....

Ravi Design specializes in making MASSIVE curtains. We design, manufacture and hang HUGE curtain walls. There is a fair amount of technical expertise required when designing these monsters, least of which is hanging, opening and closing. You need to know what tracks work, what kind of weight limits your carriers can manage and what sort of styles are best suited to vast curtain walls. Then there are the complications in constructing such huge textile sculptures... Think about how challenging it would be to make a curtain 30 feet wide and making it straight... now add several layers of cloth, linings, paddings etc... Now you get an idea of how challenging it all is.
Currently we are making a highly specialized couture curtain that is designed for sound abatement.  This particular curtain is made up of 55 yards of heavy linen, 40 yards of blackout and 40 yards of interlining. That is 135 yards in one curtain! A typical curtain might have 30 yards, this is almost 5 times that!
The curtain is so huge that it has taken the three of us over a week just to assemble it and hang it. Here you can see the curtain hanging on our rack, the rack designed to hold over 3000 pounds of curtains, yup over a tonne, the rack that is designed to hold over 500 linear feet of curtain... clearly we are set up for this because it is what we do best...
